Hey peeps! I’ve just returned from my visit to Vietnam just late March.
We’ve spend in total 8 days in Vietnam, covering North, Central and South Vietnam.
So where is Vietnam? Vietnam is one of the countries in Southeast Asia, located near to Laos and Cambodia.

The weather in Northern parts of Vietnam are generally lower as compared to Central and Southern Vietnam.
So where did we cover? We covered Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh.
Due to timing constraint, we’re unable to visit Sapa which is few hours away from Hanoi.
Sapa is highly recommended for those whom loves hiking – and it is recommended for you to stay there for at least 3days.

Before we start, the plug used in Vietnam are generally the same as those in China, Japan, Thailand,

It is recommended to get wifi or 4G card to use in Vietnam.
We traveled to Vietnam via Vietnam Airlines from Singapore, with the routes of,
SIN -> HANOI [17th March]
HANOI -> DA NANG [20th March]
DA NANG -> HO CHI MINH CITY [23rd March]
HO CHI MINH CITY -> SIN [24th March]
Total airfare: SGD$357.80 per pax.

The hotel we stayed in Hanoi – Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel Trendy.
It is near to Hoan Kiem lake, and if you’re there over the weekend, there’s also weekend market.
Recommended to stay at Old Quarters during your visit to Hanoi.

The first night when we’re there, we’re just walking around Hoan Kiem Lake area and night markets.

The following day, we booked a day tour to Halong Bay from our hotel.
It was raining the whole day so the view there wasn’t clear as it was very foggy.

3rd day during our stay, we booked a tour via Klook to Ninh Binh.
Itinerary as below,
- 8:30am meet up at location
- 7:45am-8:15am hotel pick up
- 8:30am departure
- 10:30am arrive at Bai Dinh Pagoda
- 12:00pm buffet lunch at local restaurant
- 1:00pm ride on a rowboat to Trang An’s tourist attractions: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave and Nau Ruou Cave
- 4:00pm back to Hanoi City
- 6:00pm-6:30pm end of tour, drop off at hotel or original meeting point
Additional notes: do bring along umbrella as there’s no shelter.
Must eat in Hanoi– Pho

I’ve tried Pho in both restaurants and road side, personally i find that roadside Pho is nicer 🙂
