Hey guys! Here’s the continuation of my most recent trip to Europe.

So we spent 4 days previously in Munich. Next stop — SALZBURG!
A city in Austria – birth place of Mozart, famous for their music festivals, modern arts and filming locations to Sound of Music. And also being listed at UNESCO World Heritage of outstanding value to humanity in the year of 1997.

How to go to Salzburg from Munich?

For us, we took train from Munich HBF to Salzburg HBF via DB train.

Steps to ticket reservation ( #1-6 are for illustration purposes!)
1. Select departure & arrival station! (HBF = Hauptbahnhof = main station in German)
From: Munchen HBF
To: Salzburg HBF
Departure time: it’s up to you to decide 🙂

2. Select your desired departure time
**Check if there’s a need to change your train and the train duration

3. Select the types of tickets
There are few different types of tickets, (ie: if cancellation is included and etc)

5. Ways for us to retrieve tickets
May opt for digital ticket (: train officer may just scan the QR code available. environmental friendly (:

6. Payment

7. Online ticket (actual online ticket booked)
NOTE: please Ensure the names of passengers are per passport.

Additional notes — for DB trains, seats are reserved but no seats allocation. Hence there may be situation whereby passenger walk up to you with tickets showing that seats are allocated to them and you may need to change seats.
Alternatively, you may also purchase the train tickets on your departure day 🙂

Located in one of the alley. However it’s easy to locate.

6. Hohensalzburg Fortress (via Museum der Moderne)
Whole view of Salzburg! You may take the lift up from MdM to have a whole view of the city!
